On June 3, 2015, in New York's Carnegie Hall, Paul Farmer, MD, PhD, accepted The Forbes 400 Lifetime Achievement Award for Social Entrepreneurship. The Honorable Bill Clinton presented the award to Dr. Farmer during the fourth annual Forbes Summit on Philanthropy.

Past winners of the Forbes 400 Lifetime Achievement Award for Social Entrepreneurship include Teach for American Founder Wendy Kopp and Nobel Peace Prize winner Muhammad Yunus, a Bangladeshi microfinance pioneer.
