Dr. Gauthier received a BS with distinction in mathematics from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 1999. Immediately following her undergraduate training, she served three years in the U.S. Peace Corps in Namibia, where she was introduced to the needs and challenges of global public health and the role of research in addressing these gaps. Howard Hiatt, M.D.
Professor of Medicine

Dr. Hiatt attended Harvard College and received his MD from the Harvard Medical School in 1948. Trained in clinical medicine, biochemistry, and molecular biology, he has been on the Harvard University faculty since 1955. His early research focused on the application of molecular biology to medical problems, particularly cancer. He was a member of the team at the Pasteur Institute, Paris, that first identified and described messenger RNA, and he was among the first to demonstrate messenger RNA in mammalian cells.

Sabine Hildebrandt
Assistant Professor of Pediatrics

Dr. Hildebrandt is a teacher of human anatomy and an internationally recognized scholar of the history and ethics of anatomy in the Third Reich. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Philipps-Universitaet, Marburg, Germany, and trained in immunology and experimental rheumatology. She lectured on medicine for five years in Germany before focusing on teaching anatomy.

Caterina Hill, M.Sc.

Caterina Hill is a public health epidemiologist who specializes in enabling organizations to evaluate and enhance their impact through quantitative and qualitative research.

In 2016, she joined Commonwealth Care Alliance, a pioneering Health Plan for people with complex needs in Massachusetts and is leading the organization's research and evaluation ventures. She is also Teaching Associate at Harvard Medical School and teaches medical students about Social Medicine and Global Health.

Lisa Hirschhorn, MD, MPH, is professor of medical social science at Northwestern University Feinberg Medical School. Previously, Dr Hirschhorn served as the director of HIV Services at Dimock Community Health Center in Roxbury, director of Monitoring, Evaluation and Quality for Partners In Health in Boston and most recently as associate professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School and director of Implementation and Improvement Science at the Ariadne Labs, a health systems innovation partnership between Harvard T.H.

Edward M. Hundert is the Dean for Medical Education and the Daniel D. Federman, M.D. Professor in Residence of Global Health and Social Medicine and Medical Education at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Hundert also serves as Associate Director of the Center for Bioethics at HMS. Over the past 25 years, he has served as President of Case Western Reserve University, Dean of the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, and Associate Dean for Student Affairs at Harvard Medical School.
