Dr. Agnes Binagwaho is a Rwandan pediatrician who served as the Minister of Health of Rwanda for 5 years, from May 2011 until July 2016. After practicing as a pediatrician for over 15 years, Dr. Binagwaho led the National AIDS Control Commission between 2002 and 2008. She then served as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health from 2008 until 2011. Dr. Binagwaho serves on many academic boards academic. Her engagements include research on health equity, HIV/AIDS, information and communication technologies (ICT) in e-health, and pediatric care delivery systems.

Matthew Bonds has a PhD in economics and a PhD in ecology from the University of Georgia. He joined the Harvard Medical School faculty after a postdoctoral fellowship in sustainable development under the mentorship of Jeffrey Sachs at the Earth Institute at Columbia University. While developing formal theoretical frameworks, Dr. Bonds works with Partners In Health, along with government bodies in Rwanda, to measure the socioeconomic and health impacts of their health system.

Gene Bukhman, MD, PhD is a cardiologist and medical anthropologist who heads the Program on Global Noncommunicable Disease (NCDs) and Social Change at Harvard Medical School. He is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Global Health and Social Medicine. He is also the Senior Health and Policy Advisor on NCDs at Partners In Health (PIH) where he directs the NCD Synergies project. He is an attending cardiologist in the Cardiovascular Division and the Division of Global Health Equity at Brigham and Women's Hospital
