Duncan Maru, MD, PHD is an epidemiologist and physician trained in internal medicine and pediatrics who conducts implementation science research on strategies to improve the delivery of evidence-based healthcare interventions in settings of extreme poverty. He is an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School and the Brigham and Women’s Division of Global Health Equity. The focus of his research is in rural Nepal.

John G. Meara is the director of the Program in Global Surgery and Social Change in the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Meara serves as the Plastic Surgeon-in-Chief of the Department of Plastic & Oral Surgery at Boston Children's Hospital. He is Co-Chair for the Lancet Commission on Global Surgery and is a commissioner on the Lancet Global Health Commission on High Quality Health Systems in the SDG Era.

Dr. Miller earned her MPH from Boston University and holds a PhD in epidemiology from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. As part of the Global Health Research Core, Dr. Miller is the lead epidemiologist and analyst for research projects in Madagascar, Malawi, Rwanda, Russian Federation, Guatemala and Peru. She is the co-founder and co-chair of the Global Health Delivery Partnership’s Working Group on Early Child Development. Dr. Miller co-developed a course with Dr.

Christine Mitchell, MS, MTS, is associate director of clinical ethics in the Division of Medical Ethics. She developed and runs an annual Harvard bioethics course, leads the monthly Harvard Ethics Consortium, teaches in the ethics fellowship program, and organized and co-chairs with Bob Truog the Ethics Leadership Council for the Harvard teaching hospitals and health care facilities. Her current research, with Judy Johnson and Bob Truog, is focused on evaluation of ethics consultation at Harvard hospitals (TEECH).
