Jennifer S. Puccetti

Executive Director

Jennifer S. Puccetti is the Executive Director for the Harvard Medical School Department of Global Health and Social Medicine. As Executive Director, Ms. Puccetti is responsible for the administrative oversight of the department, and for fostering collaborative relationships across the school and beyond. She provides strategic leadership and management, ensuring that the department chair’s vision is implemented, operations run smoothly, and information is communicated clearly among multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Previously Ms. Puccetti worked for Boston University in a variety of administrative roles. She worked with faculty and staff at the School of Education to develop and administer new initiatives. Ms. Puccetti also spent nine years with the Boston University/Chelsea Partnership, a joint educational initiative with the Chelsea Public Schools.  During her time in Chelsea, she was responsible for opening the Clark Avenue School on a very short timeline to cope with enrollment growth.  As the Clark Avenue School principal, Ms. Puccetti supervised the building renovation, composed the faculty and staff from scratch, and designed procedures and curricula. 

Ms. Puccetti holds a master’s in public policy, earned through a joint program between Rutgers University and the United States Peace Corps in international development policy. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Emmanuel College in Political Science. She served as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Dominican Republic and she had the opportunity to serve as a Peace Corps/Crisis Corps volunteer assisting with Hurricane Katrina recovery efforts in Mississippi.
