GLOBAL HEALTH & SOCIAL MEDICINE
Dr. Levkoff works with Drs. Hongtu Chen and Arthur Kleinman on several projects mainly related to global health delivery. With Dr. Chen she has worked on the project "Dementia Care in Thailand" to help Thai collaborators build research capacity, examine eldercare situation, and develop intervention strategies. With Drs. Chen and Kleinman she is developing efforts to promote healthy lifestyles among the elderly in China, using innovative strategies to help elderly people improve healthy diet, physical activity, and reduce indoor smoking. They currently working on the project, Social Technology for Eldercare in China.
Dr. Levkoff holds an endowed chair at the SeniorSMART Center of Economic Excellence in the College of Social Work at the University of South Carolina.
