Dr. He’s research focuses on the understanding of health-related consciousness and practice presented in everyday life of people from diversified culture. She is now working on a new project seeking to understand how native pacific islanders react and adapt to the western medical system along with outside the global market. Among her current projects, Dr. He studies diversified eldercare systems both in China and all over the world. Dr. He is also interested in Business Anthropology and Anthropology of Religion. She conducts research on the interaction of Pacific Islanders and emerging Chinese multinational companies as well.
Dr. He is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine at Harvard Medical School and an Assistant Professor at Department of Anthropology, Shandong University in China. She received her bachelor degree of Management in Business Administration at Shanghai University, an MA in Anthropology at Renmin University of China and her Ph.D. in Anthropology at Tsinghua University based on her fieldwork in Fiji.
