Moses Kachama Nyongesa, BSc Nursing, MSc, PhD, is a Senior Project Manager with the Aga Khan University Institute for Human Development in Nairobi, Kenya, where he manages the research hub for UZIMA-DS (UtiliZe health Information for Meaningful impact in East Africa through Data Science). He is a graduate of the University of Nairobi (BSc Nursing), King's College London & the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (MSc Global Mental Health), and Vrije Universitaet Amsterdam (PhD Global Mental Health). Moses joins DGHSM this year as our first HMS-Aga Khan University Global Mental Health Research Fellow. In his fellowship, he will receive advanced training in conducting implementation science research designed to translate prevention, assessment, and treatment interventions to specific settings and vulnerable populations. The first year will provide the theoretical foundation and the second year, with AKU in Nairobi, will support implementation of a research project(s). Vikram Patel and Shekhar Saxena will mentor Moses in this fellowship.
