Courtney Yuen is an associate epidemiologist in the Division of Global Health Equity at the Brigham and Women's Hospital. Prior to this, she worked in the Division of Tuberculosis Elimination at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Dr. Yuen’s research includes work on the global epidemiology of childhood drug-resistant tuberculosis; she contributed to estimates of the global burden of childhood multidrug-resistant and isoniazid-resistant tuberculosis and the risk of disease among children who live in the households of adults with drug-resistant tuberculosis. In addition, she has worked with tuberculosis programs in the United States, Peru, and Kenya to help them effectively implement contact investigations and preventive therapy, and measure the impact of these activities.
