GHSM hosts symposium on global health delivery

The Programs in Global Health and Social Change will hold an inaugural symposium on Global Health Delivery: Challenges and Opportunities for Advancing Excellence and Equity. It will be held April 4-5, 2011, at the Joseph B. Martin Conference Center at Harvard Medical School.

The forum is expected to launch a lively exchange focused on some of the most pressing issues that scientists, educators, and practitioners committed to advancing excellence and equity in global health delivery confront. These include the “know-do” implementation gap: methodologic limitations and possibilities in evaluating the impact of global health interventions; and the potential role of academic medical institutions in advancing global health equity through science and policy.

Global leaders known for their outstanding vision and global health service will speak at this symposium. All are invited to join in conversation with the speakers and one another to critically examine where we, as a “global health community,” stand in generating and delivering the requisite ideas, interventions, and leadership to advance global health equity and how we can do better.

Registration for this symposium is now closed.
