Emily is from Lancaster, Pennsylvania and is currently a general surgery resident at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland and is in the United States Army. She received her B.A. in Biochemistry at Franklin & Marshall College. She received her MD from Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine. Her interests include health systems improvement, health equity and surgical education.
