  • exploration of factors associated with HIV risk behavior in a population of TB patients with alcohol use disorders in Russian Federation
  • community-based family coaching interventions to improve neurodevelopment in at-risk children in Peru
  • clinical and programmatic outcomes of a community-based antiretroviral therapy program for HIV positive patients in rural Rwanda
  • assessment of infection control programs for MDR-TB in hospitals in Karelia and Voronezh, Russian Federation
  • analysis of population-level stunting and child development data in 15 low and middle income countries
  • prevalence study and exploration of factors associated with non-traditional chronic kidney disease in Guatemala
  • a study of a novel pediatric development clinic for children with low birth weight, prematurity and other birth risks in rural Rwanda
  • field-based evaluation of ebola virus diagnostic tools in Sierra Leone
  • cohort studies of pediatric MDR-TB and evaluation of diagnostic tests for tuberculosis in pediatric patients in Peru

Prior work includes collaborative projects such as MDR-TB treatment outcomes in alcohol users in Russia, evaluation of a heart failure screening and treatment program in Rwanda and evaluation of a screening tool for severity of childhood illness in resource-poor settings.

In the past, Dr. Miller worked as an epidemiologist and assistant director of epidemiology and surveillance in the Massachusetts Department of Public Health's Division of Tuberculosis Prevention and Control, where she collaborated on research evaluating the utility of genotyping for public health practice; and at the Johns Hopkins Center for Tuberculosis Research, where she worked on collaborations with the Rio de Janeiro Health Department on community-randomized trials of tuberculosis control strategies
