Dr. Riviello is passionate about improving critical care for patients in resource constrained settings. Her medical education activities include critical care curriculum development for resource constrained settings as well as mentorship of US trainees interested in pursuing global health careers.

Awards and Recognition

Dr. Riviello is a member of the American Thoracic Society (ATS) International Health Committee. She recently received a Shore Award to continue her research on acute respiratory failure in low income countries.

Dr. Riviello’s research is focused on ARDS, sepsis, and mortality prediction in low income countries. She has a particular interest in examining how context impacts critical care epidemiology, interventions and outcomes.
