Fang-Chi Hsu, BS, MSc, PhD, Research Fellow, is working with Megan Murray on the project, “Bacterial determinants of treatment response in Mycobacteria tuberculosis.” This project focuses on the identification of major risk factors for tuberculosis progression, treatment outcomes, and mortality in order to generate knowledge that will aid in controlling TB and improving treatment and outcomes. Fang-Chi comes from Taiwan. His PhD from Academia Sinica of Taipei Medical University is in the field of translational medicine. He recently completed a fellowship at Johns Hopkins, where he conducted research on genetic determinants of pancreatic cancer. More recently, he was a research assistant at the Research Center for Epidemic Prevention and One Health at the National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University in Taiwan.
