Jennifer Singler, MD

Research Fellow

Jennifer Singler is a Research Fellow in Pediatric Tuberculosis Epidemiology in the Program in Infectious Disease and Social Change.  Dr. Singler is also a pediatrician and neonatal hospitalist at Highland Hospital in Oakland, CA, which serves mainly poor and immigrant communities. She has a long-standing interest in global health and served in the Peace Corps in Botswana. Before completing the MD at UCSF, she worked with Partners In Health in Boston and Haiti, where she helped build and implement a laboratory to provide diagnostic testing for sexually transmitted infections for women in rural settlements. After completing the MD degree, she continued her work in Haiti with a focus on child malnutrition. Dr. Singler will work with Prof. Mercedes Becerra.
