Yihan Shi got her MPH from Yale School of Public Health, Social and Behavioral Sciences Department with a concentration in Global Health. She holds dual Bachelor’s degrees in Anthropology and Philosophy from Sun Yat-Sen University. Yihan's research interests focus on indigenous knowledge and health practices. She conducted extensive fieldwork in Sao Tome and Principe, Nepal, and various regions in China. Her academic pursuits include community-based health programs, employing mixed methods to study the behavioral aspects of communicable diseases such as HIV, malaria, and tuberculosis. Yihan also explores health-seeking behaviors among elderly populations, death education, hospice care, and the interplay of cultural elements in healthcare.
