Zoe Agoos, MD
Zoe Agoos, MD, is the Editor-in-Chief of Perspectives in Primary Care, published by the Harvard Medical School Center for Primary Care. Her primary interests lie in health equity, health literacy, and primary care advocacy. Her clinical home is the Cambridge Health Alliance's (CHA) Everett Care Center, where she cares for a largely immigrant population as a full-time Family Medicine physician.
At CHA, Dr. Agoos is an elected At-Large member of the Medical Executive Committee and served as Co-Medical Director for Sexual and Reproductive Health for two years prior to beginning her work at Perspectives. She is also a Clinical Instructor at the Tufts School of Medicine, where she precepts Family Medicine residents.
Prior to beginning her career in medicine, Dr. Agoos worked as a research assistant to health innovator Dr. Paul Farmer, supporting efforts at Partners In Health, Harvard Medical School’s Department of Global Health and Social Medicine, and the Brigham and Women’s Hospital’s Division of Global Health Equity. Dr. Agoos received her undergraduate degree from Brown University, her medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine, and completed her Family Medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals in Philadelphia, PA.
