Project Name: Metabolic Factors that Control the Spectrum of Human Tuberculosis

The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), part of the NIH, has awarded a $19.5 million grant for TB research. This grant will provide support to a seven-year collaborative program of basic and translational research on tubercuolosis at the Socios En Salud clinics in Lima, Peru. Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and Partners In Health will use monies from this grant to host one of four new centers for the Tuberculosis Research Units program.
